The highlights of the Vigan City Fiesta Celebration
The Vigan Town Fiesta features street dancing performances, carnivals, arts and crafts displays, and other events that honor Vigan's city hood. Paul the Apostle is the focus of the entire festival because he's the town's patron saint.
On the 22nd of January, me and my friends went to the Plaza Salcedo where they performed the street dancing. It was so hot and there were so many people went there to watch. I even got squeezed in the crowd although it was worthwhile because the dancers gave a strong performance. Also, it was really hard to film and take pictures. It was therefore a lot of fun because it had been a long time since I had attended a festival because most of us have been unable to leave the house in recent years due to COVID.
After watching the street dancing, we ate at the food stalls and we had some corndog, shawarma, pizza and coffee. Then we proceed to the carnival, but we didn't go on any of the rides (the ferris wheel, the frisbee, the horror train, etc.); instead, we went there to capture some photos as the sun was setting. There were many vendors selling balloons and cotton candy so I decided to buy one to heal my inner child. After that, we went shopping to purchase some clothing. Later, we planned to go home. And I purchased a mango shake as I waited for my parents to pick me up.
Attending the celebration of Vigan Fiesta was really fun! There were so many choices of foods to eat. And the lights and decorations was really fascinating!
